Island Home Vacation Rental is located in beautiful Poipu Beach, Kauai, Hawaii. The local area features a long green belt and walking path that stretches from Shipwreck Beach (excellent surfing) to Brennecke Beach (body boarding, lots of turtles, whales (seasonal) and monk seals). Poipu Beach offers great snorkeling and swimming, superb beaches, fine dining and many attractions.. The Poipu Kai resort includes pool, spa and tennis courts, and is beautifully landscaped and maintained. Our guests have full access to these amenities. We are within a five minute drive of two golf courses designed by Robert Trent Jones and the luxurious Hyatt Regency hotel. Fine restaurants, great shopping and numerous great beaches are just a short distance from the house. 

Kauai offers many interesting places to explore, and we'll be happy to recommend or arrange boat or helicopter trips, provide you with maps to beaches and hiking trails, suggest galleries, shops and restaurants, etc. There's a lot to do here, or you can relax and do nothing at all !

Directions to Island Home Vacation Rental

From the Lihue airport drive straight out of the terminal (Ahukini Rd/Highway 570) through the first stop light to Highway 56 (Second stop light). Turn left on Highway 56 and stay in right lane, which will turn into Highway 50. Stay on Highway 50 for approximately 9 miles to the Koloa/Poipu turnoff and make a left through the “tree tunnel.”  In Koloa town, turn right at the stop sign; turn left at the next intersection (by gas station) and proceed on Poipu Road about 3 miles.

Turn right on Pe’e Road; then left at “Lanai Villas” sign (Linaka)  Go one block to the stop sign.  We’re the two-story blue house at the corner on your left (Corner of Linaka and Kelaukia St.)
